DOWNLOAD SCRIPT HERE

DOWNLOAD MISSING FIRST FOUR PAGES

We are renting scripts to comply with the MTI contract, but this download will be the script you will use.  Print the whole script, or only print the scenes you are in.  Any copies you make should be discarded or destroyed at the end of the production.

Check carefully that you print every scene you are in, because even if you don't have a line, you may still be in the scene.  Click here to go to a page we found that has a pretty good character description for most every character.

Please email Gloria at gloria@musicandtheatre.com to confirm that you are accepting your role.  Once she has received everyone's confirmation, she will contact you via email about our first rehearsal.

Practice Tracks

The tracks are all in a zipped folder, which just means you can download the whole folder at once, instead of one track at a time. The tracks are all in MP3 format.  You should be able to sync them to a portable device or burn them to a CD to practice with.  The accompaniments are the ones we are using for performances.

If you have any problems getting these tracks, let me know at jack@musicandtheatre.com

Annie Warbucks 2004 DVD - $10

This is a DVD of a production we did in 2004 (all youth) that some of you have expressed an interest in getting to watch the choreography (movement with the songs), which will be much the same.  DO NOT use for blocking, as this WILL NOT be the same. This will be just a plain DVD without packaging.  I will try to get it to you by the next rehearsal after your order.

 REHEARSAL INFO

ALL REHEARSALS WILL BE AT 12716 Sherman Way, North Hollywood CA, 91605, the BRAND NEW permanent home for YOUNG STARS THEATRE!!

At our theatre there is no waiting room, as the lobby doubles as backstage, so parents please be prepared to drop off your children a few minutes before rehearsal and come back and wait outside to get them. There are several restaurants and even a big 99 cent store very nearby if you need a place to spend your time.

We will have our snacks and bottled water for sale ($1), but they are more than welcome to bring whatever they want from home.

Every cast member needs to print the entire script or at least the parts they are in, whether they have lines or not,  and bind it and bring it to every rehearsal with a pencil.

Missed Rehearsals:

If you have to miss a rehearsal please contact the other actor playing your role to see if you can switch rehearsals with them. If you miss a rehearsal and can not switch with someone else, you can still sit in on another casts rehearsal to get your blocking or at the very least, go to the cast list on the website, see the other actor playing your role, and contact them PRIOR to your next rehearsal to get the blocking, notes, choreography, and memorization goals so that you are not behind at the next rehearsal. You are required to keep up on your own as we do not have time to teach the same material multiple times. Everyone is in this same situation and we always find that the kids are very helpful with each other when they make the effort to get together!!

Once you are given blocking for a scene you are expected to have the lines and blocking memorized at your next rehearsal. The first time you run your scenes off book you will be allowed to call for your line…. but at the following rehearsal you will be expected to get through the scenes without calling line.

Please do not be late for rehearsals!!  In most cases we cannot start until every cast member is there so when you are late you are holding up everyone who was on time. If you MUST be late, please call my cell phone and leave a message BEFORE your call time.  Gloria Bennett 818-808-6714.  You only need to call once.  Once I call roll, if someone is missing I first check my messages, then if I have not heard from them then I call them to make sure they are on their way and what time they expect to be there.  Everyone who is called needs to be there before we can start rehearsal, so please do everything you can (without breaking the law) to be on time.

Make sure that you bring your scripts and a pencil to EVERY rehearsal.

CHEAT SHEET:

This is a helpful tool for an actor that anyone can use.  Very simply, it is a list of cues (what lines you enter and exit on), any costume changes and where they go, and any props that are needed.   This can be posted up backstage for the actor to refer to when they are offstage, and helps them keep everything straight without having to carry a script around everywhere.  For this show, everything should easily fit on one page.  Keep it as short as possible.  For each entrance -

FIRST: put the ACT number and the scene number, and maybe a short helpful description of the scene (i.e., "First clubhouse scene")

SECOND: under that put the cue line or sound or whatever the cue is and where you enter from

THIRD: under that put any props that you need

Between these, put any costume changes at the places you would need to change.

Repeat for all entrances.

Maria Aintablian - Meg March

Maria is thrilled to be working with YST for her third time! In her previous performances, she played Mrs. Bodin in The Sherlock Society Case II and Arlene in How To Eat Like A Child. She is excited to be working with an amazing cast and directors. She enjoys acting, singing, dancing, and spending time with her family. She would like to thank Houri, Panos, and Aleek for their encouragement!

Christina Robinson

Christina is excited to be in her second YST performance! Her numerous credits include playing the role of "Astor" in the CBS/Showtime series, "Dexter" for Seasons 1&2 and is currently busy filming Season 3.  She has also been seen in "Arctic Tale", "Viola", "Abigail", "Lil Miss Badass" and various other shows and commercials.  Christina also performs vocally with her twin sister, Courtney, locally in the Sonic Trilogy and can be seen weekly in the improv show Giggle Gaggle at the Raven Theatre in Burbank.

If you want your headshot and bio in the program please send it to jack@musicandtheatre.com ASAP. It makes things really hard on Jack when everyone waits until the last minute. PLEASE DO NOT send this to Gloria...She gets too many emails everyday as it is...just send it straight to Jack and we will both love you for it! The specs for exactly what you need to send him and examples are above!!!

Please bring 1 headshot to your next rehearsal with nothing stapled to it...if you have more than one 8x10 printed...a commercial shot would be best...we do not need your resume, you already booked the job!! We need them for our marquee. If you do not bring them, your headshot will not be posted with your cast.
