George Demme is an accomplished performer, composer, and instructor. He is originally a native of Ohio, where he studied piano with Loy Kohler (Capitol University) and George Haddad (Ohio State). He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from the University of New Orleans, and received his Master of Arts in 1993 from Jacksonville University. George's career has traveled many paths (literally and figuratively), including playing for touring Broadway shows, performing up and down Bourbon Street in New Orleans famed French Quarter, and appearing on radio, television and film. George also lived in Baton Rouge for several years where he used to hire Randy Jackson - yes, that Randy Jackson - and his brother Herman to play gigs. He continues to perform live on a regular basis, with his first love being jazz piano. George has taught on all levels, from beginning students all the way to the university level. George is proficient in several instruments, and is a prolific composer. George's years of performing and teaching experience are now available in Southern California, where he teaches piano, guitar, theory, improvisation and composition.
